Freedom...

Picture
“..life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness….” Are you pursuing your happiness? What does your happiness look like?

Some very wise people have said the path to happiness and wealth is through good health. So NOW what does your happiness look like?

“Happiness is the highest form of health.” – Dalai Lama

“The first wealth is health.” –  Ralph Waldo Emerson

Are you achieving good health? What would it take to get you to better health?

FREEDOM! (I hear many pride-inducing songs with this word.)
As Americans, many have fought for our freedom. But what are we doing for our personal health to find freedom from pain, insomnia, anxiety, headaches, digestive issues,… ?

“The wise man should consider that health is the greatest of human blessings. Let food be your medicine.” – Hippocrates

Food as medicine. Not a diet. Not abstaining from food. Choose wisely. Choose healthy. Choose fresh. Use a supplement if necessary.

“To keep the body in good health is a duty… otherwise we shall not be able to keep our mind strong and clear.” – Buddha

Clear the brain fog, the exhaustion, the headaches. Grasp the anxiety. Good food. Self-care (personal time and activities.) Meditation. Supplements. Exercise. And guess what, reflexology, massage, the salt room, the biomat, and energy work can help with all of these issues. Choose YOU.

“The only way to keep your health is to eat what you don’t want, drink what you don’t like, and do what you’d rather not.”- Mark Twain

As true as Mark Twain’s quote seems, that we roll our eyes and pout about all the things we don’t like to do to be healthy, it isn’t as bad as all that.
Better food seems daunting – find healthy makeover recipes, same taste with healthier ingredients.
Exercise, ugh… take up walking, take up walking with a friend, take up walking with an audiobook or podcast.
Quiet the mind -  try a meditation app, try yoga, try an in-person meditation, read for fun, dance to your favorite song.
There are options, ones that make us feel good and we can compromise. At the end of the day, we want to find FREEDOM from our issues and in our pursuit to find our happiness.
